The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy rainfall in several districts of Gujarat on Friday, with isolated areas in central Gujarat expected to experience intense showers.
Recent Rainfall Events
On Thursday, Nadiad witnessed a significant spell of heavy rain, recording 53 mm of rainfall in just two hours between 4 pm and 6 pm. Heavy rainfall was also reported at isolated locations in Mahisagar, Aravalli, and Mehsana districts. Rajkot city experienced a sudden burst of rainfall, leading to waterlogged roads and causing inconvenience to commuters.
Friday's Forecast
According to the IMD bulletin, heavy rain is very likely at isolated places in Dahod, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Kheda, and Anand districts on Friday. The weather department has also predicted light to moderate rainfall at most places across north and central Gujarat, including Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar districts.
