Dr Ramesh Thakur, Associate Director of the Centre for Green Energy and Nanotechnology (C-GENT) and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), has been nominated as a member of the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) Society for a three-year term. He was selected under the category of eminent academicians and scientists.
Recognition for Research and Innovation
Thakur received this nomination in recognition of his significant contributions to research, higher education, scientific innovation, green energy technologies, and sustainable development. The WII, based in Dehradun, is an autonomous institution under the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. It serves as a premier national institute dedicated to wildlife research, conservation, training, and capacity building. The WII Society is the apex governing body of the institute.
