Orange and Yellow Alerts Issued for Himachal Districts

Heavy rain is set to continue across Himachal Pradesh, prompting the State's Meteorological Centre to issue an orange alert for Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts. A yellow alert has also been issued for Kullu, Kangra, Chamba, Kinnaur, and Lahaul and Spiti districts. The affected areas are likely to receive heavy rainfall throughout the day, according to the Meteorological Centre.

Warnings for Waterlogging and Traffic Disruption

The Meteorological Centre has warned of waterlogging in low-lying areas, low visibility, temporary disruption of local essential services, and traffic congestion in parts of Solan, Mandi, Sirmaur, and Chamba districts. Residents are advised to follow traffic advisories, avoid venturing into vulnerable areas, and maintain a safe distance from water bodies.

Temperature Readings Across the State

Minimum temperatures remained near normal across Himachal Pradesh. Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 17.6°C, followed by Dharamshala at 19.1°C, Mandi 22.5°C, Manali 17.9°C, Solan 20°C, Kalpa 13.8°C, Reckong Peo 16°C, Bilaspur 23.5°C, Hamirpur 25.8°C, Una 23°C, Kangra 23.4°C, Bhuntar 20.3°C, Keylong 10.9°C, Chamba 21°C, and Nahan 20.8°C. Kukumseri in Lahaul and Spiti was the coldest place in the state, recording a minimum temperature of 10.6°C.
