Public Outrage and Misguided Violence

Tension flared soon after the incident as angry locals gathered at the spot. In the ensuing chaos, a man named Digambar Deka, who had reportedly tried to help the injured child, was mistakenly blamed by a section of the crowd. He was assaulted after being suspected of driving the vehicle that hit the child. The mob also vandalized Deka's vehicle.

Police later arrived at the scene, brought the situation under control, and initiated a probe into both the accident and the subsequent violence. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and allow the legal process to take its course.

Community Response

The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the dangers of mob justice. Local residents have demanded stricter enforcement of traffic laws, especially regarding unregistered vehicles, and have called for measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted, and those responsible for the accident and the assault will be brought to justice.
