Hisar: Two brothers were killed after their motorcycle was struck by a pickup van near Mirana village in Fatehabad district on Monday. The deceased, identified as Karam Singh and Ranjit Singh, residents of Plata village, were returning home following a visit to the Ratia tehsil office for land-related matters when the incident occurred.
Accident Details
According to police reports, the pickup van, which was traveling from the opposite direction, allegedly collided with their motorcycle. The impact threw both men onto the road, leaving them critically injured. Local residents immediately rushed the brothers to the civil hospital in Ratia, where doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
Police Investigation
Authorities have seized the pickup van and initiated a search for the driver, who fled the scene after the accident. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the crash.
Family members stated that both brothers were farmers and jointly managed approximately 18 acres of agricultural land. They were married and are survived by a son and a daughter each. All four children are currently pursuing their studies in Australia.
