A significant earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 struck the Bajhang district in Nepal's Sudur Paschim province on Sunday afternoon, according to the country's National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre (NEMRC).

The tremor was recorded at 12:09 pm local time, with its epicenter located in the Saipal mountain region of Bajhang. Officials from the monitoring agency confirmed that there were no immediate reports of damage to property or casualties following the seismic event.
The earthquake's impact was felt beyond the epicenter. Residents in nearby western districts, including Bajura, also experienced the tremors, as added by NEMRC.
