Thousands Gather for Annual Sikh Procession in Subodia

More than 5,000 devotees took part in the 24th annual Nagar Kirtan in Subodia, Italy, on Sunday, June 22, 2026. The religious procession, organized by Gurdwara Singh Sabha Subodia in collaboration with local religious and social organizations, brought together men, women, elderly persons, and children from Subodia and surrounding areas.

The procession wound through the town amid the recitation of Gurbani and devotional hymns, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere. Devotees paid obeisance and actively participated in the event, which has become one of the largest religious gatherings in the region over the past two decades.

Community Service and Langar Stalls

A major highlight of the Nagar Kirtan was the spirit of seva (selfless service) displayed by the local community. Volunteers set up more than 50 langar and refreshment stalls along the route, offering food, sweets, fruits, and cold drinks to devotees and visitors throughout the day. Committee members and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth conduct of the procession.
