In a tragic incident, at least eight people are feared dead after a tourist vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Sach Pass in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The accident occurred on Wednesday when the vehicle, carrying around 15 passengers, lost control on a sharp curve and fell into the gorge.

Rescue Operations Underway

Local police and rescue teams have reached the spot and are conducting search and rescue operations. The injured have been rushed to the nearest hospital, while efforts are on to retrieve the bodies of the deceased. The vehicle was on its way from Chamba to Killar when the mishap took place.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn. The bus fell into the gorge, which is estimated to be around 200 meters deep. Local residents were the first to respond and alerted the authorities.
