Bee Attack Injures Students at Gumla Government School

Several students of a government school in Gumla district were injured on Thursday after a swarm of bees attacked them. As panic spread, students ran and ducked for cover. In the chaos that followed, three students were stung and several others sustained minor injuries.

Incident Details

The incident took place at Government Middle School in Kesipara under Sadar police station limits. The injured students were admitted to private clinics and Gumla Sadar Hospital but were released later after receiving treatment.

School Response

School principal Manaj Gupta stated that the school has about 150 students. The attack caused widespread panic among the children, but fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Local Accounts

Locals claimed there was a beehive in a tree near the school campus. An eagle reportedly provoked the bees before flying off, triggering the attack. To drive away the bees, locals lit fires to create smoke, which eventually dispersed the swarm.
