A test pilot from Bengaluru has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian to be named a Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP). This prestigious recognition highlights his exceptional contributions to flight testing and aviation.
Career Highlights
Throughout his distinguished career, the pilot flew all variants of the MiG-21 fighter jet. He was one of the few pilots qualified on the MiG-21 Bis FR, a specialized reconnaissance variant. Later, he commanded No 15 Squadron during its final phase of operating the aircraft, leading the squadron through critical missions and transitions.
