A tragic accident occurred near Chittampatti in Madurai on Friday morning, resulting in the death of a nine-year-old girl and injuries to three others after a car overturned. The driver lost control while attempting to avoid hitting a dog that suddenly crossed the highway.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, Anbarasu, along with 11 family members from Kundrathur near Chennai, was traveling in a car to the Subramaniya Swamy temple at Thiruchendur. The impact of the overturn left Thangappan's daughter, Liyashree, with serious injuries to her head, hands, and legs. Bystanders immediately called the 108 ambulance service, which rushed the girl to the Government Rajaji Hospital. However, doctors declared her dead upon arrival. Three other individuals—Malathi, Thangappan, and Mahizhini—sustained minor injuries and were treated at the hospital.
