A tragic road accident in Lucknow claimed one life and left another person critically injured on Sunday. According to police, an SUV carrying a family from Surat, Gujarat, to Bihar crashed into a divider in the Gosainganj police station area.
Details of the Accident
The incident occurred near kilometre marker 16.8 when the SUV reportedly went out of control and rammed into the central divider with immense force. Police officials confirmed that the deceased has been identified as Surendra Chaudhary, a resident of Badaria village in the Madhavpur area of Bihar's Siwan district. He had been living in Surat before the journey.
Another occupant, Dheeraj Chaudhary, sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the KGMU Trauma Centre for medical attention. Doctors have described his condition as critical. Other family members travelling in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and are receiving treatment.
Rescue and Investigation
Upon receiving information about the accident, police and emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations. The injured were carefully extricated from the damaged SUV and transported to the hospital. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver may have lost control of the vehicle, though the exact cause of the accident is still being examined. Further investigation is underway to determine all contributing factors.
The family was en route to their ancestral village in Bihar when the tragedy struck. Authorities are continuing their probe into the incident.
