IMD Forecasts Continued Chill Before Gradual Warming

The India Meteorological Department issued a forecast indicating chilly conditions would continue across Odisha on Sunday. The IMD has specifically issued coldwave warnings for eight districts in the state.

According to an IMD bulletin, relief is expected to begin from Monday. Night temperatures are predicted to witness a gradual rise of 2°C to 4°C starting at the beginning of the week. This warming trend should provide some respite from the current cold spell affecting the region.

The persistent coldwave has been particularly noticeable in Kandhamal district where G Udayagiri has consistently recorded the state's lowest temperatures. Residents across affected districts continue to experience unusually cold conditions for this time of year.
