Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit South Gujarat on Friday, where he will unveil development projects valued at Rs 18,777 crore and address a public rally in Surat. The Prime Minister will lay foundation stones and inaugurate projects under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), and other state government and local body initiatives in the region.
Key Projects and Investments
Among the prominent initiatives are eight projects from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), worth Rs 1,063.43 crore. These projects are designed to strengthen industrial infrastructure and improve environmental management systems in South Gujarat. The investments aim to boost economic growth and create employment opportunities in the region.
In addition, the Prime Minister will visit Daman, where he will launch 56 projects totaling Rs 2,970 crore. These include the Namo Airport and Namo Hospital, which are expected to enhance connectivity and healthcare facilities in the union territory.
Celebrating 12 Years of PM Modi
The Gujarat government has organized several events across the state to mark the completion of 12 years of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. An official statement confirmed that programmes will be held in all districts under the theme of service, highlighting the government's achievements and commitment to public welfare.
The visit underscores the central government's focus on infrastructure development and regional progress, with a particular emphasis on industrial growth and public amenities in South Gujarat and Daman.
