Shimla: Light to moderate rain lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh, while hailstorms hit isolated pockets on Thursday, keeping temperatures below normal across the state. Rain was reported from Kullu, Mandi, Chamba, Sirmaur, Solan and Shimla districts, with heavy hailstorms in Jubbal, Kotkhai, Fagu and Kufri in Shimla, and parts of Solan.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, maximum temperatures remained 1°C to 6.5°C below normal. Shimla recorded a high of 21.2°C (2.2°C below normal), while Manali saw 16.8°C (6.5°C below normal). Mandi recorded 29.8°C (4.8°C below normal), Bhuntar 23.4°C (6.5°C below), Dharamshala 29°C (0.9°C below), and Kalpa 16.5°C (3.1°C below). Una was the warmest at 33.4°C, still 3.4°C below normal.

The weather department has forecast similar conditions for the next 24 hours, with isolated thunderstorms and hailstorms likely in some areas. Residents have been advised to stay cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather.
