A tragic road accident in Lohardaga district claimed the life of a young man and left five others injured on Saturday. The incident occurred near the residence of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Lohardaga, according to officials.
Victims and Injuries
The deceased has been identified as Pramod Kumar Singh, a resident of Khalari, aged between 22 and 24 years. The injured include Virat Shahdeo, Samrat Shahdeo, Vikesh Singh, Dipeshwar Singh, and Uttam Singh, all residents of various areas in Ranchi district and in their early twenties.
Details of the Accident
Lohardaga Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shraddha Kerketta stated that the accident took place when a speeding car lost control, hit a barricade on the side of the road, climbed onto a divider, and eventually crashed into a tree. The car was registered in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
Medical Response
All injured individuals were rushed to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital, where four of them were referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for advanced treatment. Pramod Kumar Singh was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
