Students Urged to Learn Foreign Languages for Careers

Madikeri: In addition to their mother tongue, students should try to learn other languages, including foreign languages, said speaker UT Kader on Tuesday. He emphasized that young people must learn foreign languages such as Spanish, German, and Japanese, besides becoming proficient in English, to stay ahead in the competitive world. Kader made these remarks after inaugurating the Beary Sammelan here.

Event Organized by Multiple Bodies

The event was organized by the Karnataka Beary Academy, the Kannada and Culture Department, and the Kodagu Beary's Welfare Trust. Kader stated that for a successful career, students should learn multiple languages and urged educational institutions to provide opportunities for language learning.

Community Hall Demand Addressed

Responding to the demand by the Kodagu Beary community for a community hall in Kodagu, Kader said that with the cooperation of two MLAs, he would secure Rs 1 crore in funds from the state government for the project.
