UP DGP Starts Self-Enumeration for Census 2027 in Lucknow

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna completed his self-enumeration for Census 2027 through the official online census portal on Tuesday, marking the beginning of self-enumeration within the police department. Senior officers at Police Headquarters in Lucknow also participated in the process.

DGP Appeals for Cooperation

The DGP appealed to police personnel and the public to cooperate in the census exercise, emphasizing that self-enumeration through the official portal is simple, secure, and convenient. He urged everyone to take part in this important national initiative.

Self-Enumeration Timeline and Process

Director of Census Operations for Uttar Pradesh, Sheetal Verma (IAS), stated that citizens can complete self-enumeration from May 7 to May 21 through the official portal se.census.gov.in using mobile phones. After submission, a Self-Enumeration ID (SE-ID) is generated, which must be shown to census enumerators during field verification.

The first phase of Census 2027 fieldwork in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted from May 22 to June 20 through door-to-door surveys using a mobile application. This comprehensive approach ensures accurate data collection across the state.
