Prayagraj: Addressing volunteers on the second day of the ‘Parishad Shiksha Varg’ of Vishwa Hindu Parishad at Soroan on Tuesday, regional organising secretary Gajendra Ji said the organisation is actively engaged in connecting Hindu culture on a global scale and disseminating its humanistic values—viewed from a universal perspective—to every corner of the world.
Core Philosophy of Hindu Culture
He said the core mantra of Hindu culture is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the entire world is one family), and through this principle, the organisation works ceaselessly to propagate a message of global brotherhood, peace, and cooperation. Rather than viewing Hinduism merely as a sect, the organisation promotes it as a way of life that inherently encompasses respect for nature, environmental conservation, and a balanced lifestyle.
Global Dissemination Through Indian Diaspora
Across the world—initially through the Indian diaspora—VHP facilitates the dissemination of Indian cultural and social traditions, festivals, Yoga, and Ayurveda. For this, numerous programmes and conferences are held, through which the organisation periodically endeavors to bring together people of all faiths, sects, and denominations on a single platform.
Contemporary Relevance and Environmental Crises
Discussions are held regarding the contemporary global relevance of Hindu culture, and VHP also hosts programmes addressing modern-day environmental crises and the importance of cultural values and rites. Regional satsang pramukh Diwakar Nath Tripathi said it is a collective responsibility to periodically awaken society to the need to protect the points of honor of the Hindu community—specifically the sanctity of the cow as well as the symbols of faith, heritage sites, and cultural landmarks of Hinduism.
“This responsibility entails drawing the attention of administrative officials to these matters and presenting our demands to the government at appropriate junctures. We must articulate our stance at the right time and take appropriate action whenever the need arises,” he added.
