ANDHRA PRADESH: The coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh are bracing for impact as Severe Cyclone Montha approaches the eastern coastline, prompting state authorities to implement drastic emergency measures to ensure public safety.

In an unprecedented move, the state government has imposed a comprehensive night curfew across seven vulnerable coastal districts. The restrictions, which took immediate effect, include:
- Complete ban on all vehicle movement during night hours
- Restrictions on public gatherings and movement in coastal areas

Districts on High Alert
The seven coastal districts facing the direct threat of Cyclone Montha include Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur. These regions are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of up to 100-110 kmph.
