Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the 'Bharat Vann Yojana' in Raichur, Karnataka, on June 6, 2026. The event was organized by the district administration in collaboration with the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Details of the Yojana
Under the Bharat Vann Yojana, tree plantation drives will be conducted across identified areas in Raichur district. The initiative also includes awareness programs on forest conservation and sustainable livelihood options for residents. SPMCIL's CSR funds will support the project's implementation over the next three years.
The launch ceremony included a tree-planting activity led by the Finance Minister. She urged citizens to actively participate in greening their surroundings and called for collective efforts to preserve the environment.
