Iran's IRGC Intensifies Retaliatory Strikes in 80th Wave Against Israel and US
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has declared the execution of the 80th wave of its retaliatory campaign, known as Operation True Promise 4. In a bold statement issued on Wednesday, the IRGC confirmed that its Aerospace Force targeted strategic points and military centers in northern Israel, alongside striking American outposts across the Middle East.
Strategic Targets Hit in Northern Israel
The IRGC's statement detailed that strategic points and military centers located in the northern occupied territories were heavily bombarded with sustained missile attacks. Among the primary objectives was the military command of Israel's army in the northern city of Safed, which coordinates attacks and defenses along the northern borders. The Corps described these strikes as the initiation of a series of pre-announced operations against what it termed the "child-killing Zionist regime."
Expanded Attacks on US Bases and Central Israel
In addition to the northern Israeli targets, the IRGC reported that central Israeli locations, including Tel Aviv, Kiryat Shmona, and Bnei Brak, were struck using a combination of liquid- and solid-fuel precision missiles and attack drones. The offensive also extended to US military bases in the region, specifically targeting facilities such as Ali al-Salem and Arifjan in Kuwait, al-Azraq in Jordan, and Sheikh Isa in Bahrain.
The IRGC emphasized that northern assembly points of Israeli forces and the Gaza belt would continue to face heavy missile and drone assaults, vowing not to relent in this phase of counterstrikes. Operation True Promise 4 commenced on February 28, shortly after the United States and Israel conducted strikes on Iran, with the Corps pledging to sustain the reprisal until achieving "complete victory."
Support for Hezbollah and Regional Stance
The latest wave of strikes was carried out in support of the offensives by Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement against Israeli targets and in solidarity with the residents of southern Lebanon, who have endured significant Israeli aggression. The IRGC's statement underscored its commitment to backing these efforts as part of a broader regional conflict.
Iranian Military Spokesperson Mocks US Negotiation Claims
In a related development, a video posted by Fars News featured a military spokesperson ridiculing claims of negotiations by US President Donald Trump. The spokesperson asserted that the situation had deteriorated to a point where "Americans were negotiating with themselves." He criticized the US for what he described as a strategic defeat, stating:
"The strategic power you used to boast about has now turned into a strategic defeat... Do not label your defeat as an 'agreement.' The era of your promises has come to an end. Today, there are two fronts in the world: Truth and Falsehood. No freedom-seeking truth-seeker will be deceived by your media waves."
The spokesperson further highlighted internal conflicts within the US and warned that stability in the region is guaranteed only by Iran's armed forces, vowing that Iranian forces would never compromise with US-Israel forces.
Background and Ongoing Conflict
Operation True Promise 4 represents a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States. The IRGC's persistent strikes reflect a determined effort to retaliate against perceived aggressions, with the 80th wave marking a continued commitment to military action. The conflict has drawn in regional actors like Hezbollah, complicating the geopolitical landscape and raising concerns about further escalation.
As the situation unfolds, the IRGC remains resolute in its campaign, signaling that retaliatory measures will persist until its objectives are met. The international community watches closely, with implications for global security and regional stability hanging in the balance.
