The National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has stated that it has taken steps to address the issues raised by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF). In a recent announcement, the company highlighted its efforts in environmental conservation, particularly in the Karnataka region.

NMDC reported that extensive plantation activities have been undertaken across approximately 94.5 hectares under green belt development. This initiative has resulted in the planting of over 1.42 lakh plants, contributing significantly to the local ecosystem.
