Rajasthan's Weather Contrast: Days Warm Up While Nights Stay Chilly

Rajasthan continues to experience a significant disparity between daytime and nighttime temperatures, as reported by the meteorological department. Clear skies across the state have led to a noticeable increase in daytime mercury levels, while mornings and evenings remain distinctly cold in numerous regions.

Daytime Temperatures Rise Across Key Cities

Over the past 24 hours, daytime temperatures have climbed by 1 to 4 degrees Celsius in several prominent cities. Barmer emerged as the warmest location in Rajasthan, recording a maximum temperature of 33°C. Other cities showing elevated daytime readings include Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Jalore, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Udaipur.

  • Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Tonk, and Ganganagar recorded daytime temperatures around 27°C.

Persistent Cold Nights Despite Warmer Days

Despite the warmer daytime conditions, nighttime temperatures have remained low. Fatehpur in the Shekhawati region was identified as the coldest spot in the state, with a minimum temperature of 6°C. Meteorologists noted that chilly conditions persist during the early morning hours across northern Rajasthan.

Jaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 12°C. The city enjoyed bright and sunny weather, with the maximum temperature reaching 28°C, providing some relief during afternoon hours. The Met office emphasized that while days are gradually becoming warmer, chilly mornings continue in many areas, particularly in the Shekhawati region, which includes districts like Churu, Bikaner, Jhunjhunu, and Sikar.

Weather Forecast: Dry Conditions and Rising Mercury

According to the weather department, conditions are expected to remain dry over the coming days, with no likelihood of rainfall. The mercury is projected to rise across most parts of Rajasthan, potentially widening the day-night temperature gap further. Residents are advised to prepare for warm afternoons and cool nights, a characteristic weather pattern for this season in the region.
