Tabo in the Lahaul-Spiti district recorded the lowest minimum temperature in Himachal Pradesh on Monday, as overcast weather conditions dominated most parts of the state. According to the meteorological department, Tabo's minimum temperature plummeted to a frigid -9.9 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest spot in the region.
Statewide Temperature Variations
Other locations across Himachal Pradesh experienced significant cold as well. Kukumseri followed closely with a minimum temperature of -9.4 degrees Celsius, while Kalpa recorded 0.4 degrees Celsius. In popular tourist destinations, Manali registered 2.9 degrees Celsius, Seobagh 3.6 degrees Celsius, and Solan 4.5 degrees Celsius. The state capital, Shimla, saw a relatively milder minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees Celsius.
Una emerged as the warmest area in the state on Monday, with the highest maximum temperature reaching 24 degrees Celsius. This stark contrast highlights the diverse climatic conditions across Himachal Pradesh, from freezing temperatures in high-altitude regions to more temperate zones.
