The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) unveiled the first edition of its official newsletter, 'Nature Connect', on Thursday. This bi-monthly publication aims to keep the public informed about contemporary environmental challenges, innovations, best practices, and ongoing initiatives across the state.
Launch of the Newsletter
RP Singh, Chairman of UPPCB, launched the newsletter during a ceremony. The newsletter will serve as a platform to disseminate information on environmental issues and solutions, fostering greater awareness and participation among citizens.
Redesigned Website
Alongside the newsletter, Singh also launched the board's redesigned official website. The new site offers a more dynamic, accessible, and user-centric experience for citizens, industries, institutions, and other stakeholders. It features improved navigation, updated tools, and enhanced access to information and services.
Objectives and Impact
The redesigned website aims to facilitate greater public engagement and promote wider dissemination of environmental data. By providing a user-friendly interface, the platform encourages stakeholders to access resources, submit queries, and participate in environmental initiatives more effectively.
The launch of 'Nature Connect' and the website underscores UPPCB's commitment to transparency and public involvement in environmental governance. These tools are expected to bridge the gap between the board and the community, enabling informed decision-making and collaborative efforts to address pollution and ecological challenges in Uttar Pradesh.
