"Primary observations and the condition of the carcass pointed to a territorial clash, which is a common occurrence among dispersing young tigers seeking space," explained Pendam. The older tiger had partially devoured the carcass after the fatal attack, leaving behind severely mutilated remains that made immediate identification challenging.

Transit Treatment Centre in-charge Dr. Kundan Podchalwar, assisted by veterinarians Dr. Vikas Bokare and Dr. Chavare, conducted an extensive on-site postmortem procedure.
