Bomb threats were reported at three branches of the Army Public School in New Delhi on Monday morning, triggering a swift response from emergency services and law enforcement agencies. The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received distress calls from all three campuses located in and around the Chanakya Puri area of Central Delhi.
Timeline of Threats
The first call came from the Delhi Cantonment branch at 8:05 am, followed by a second from the Dhaula Kuan branch at 8:59 am, and a third from the Shankar Vihar branch at 9:05 am. Authorities acted promptly, treating the threats with the utmost seriousness.
Emergency Response
Delhi Police and the DFS initiated a comprehensive emergency protocol. Bomb Disposal Teams (BDTs) and dog squads were deployed to each campus, where they began detailed and systematic searches of school buildings, including classrooms, corridors, administrative offices, and surrounding premises.
Simultaneously, school authorities, in coordination with the police, carried out precautionary evacuations to ensure the safety of students and staff. Search operations are currently underway, and no suspicious items have been reported so far.
Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and avoid the affected areas as investigations continue.
