A short video from UFC Freedom 250 at the White House has sparked a wave of debate online after viewers noticed a man standing behind President Donald Trump’s family. The clip, shared by X influencer Matt Wallace, quickly drew attention because many users believed the person looked like late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. While Wallace later claimed it was a “Charlie Kirk lookalike,” he did not provide any evidence to support that theory, leaving social media users divided over what they were actually seeing.
Matt Wallace Fuels Speculation After Donald Trump Family Video Sparks Charlie Kirk Comparisons
The discussion began when Matt Wallace shared a video from UFC Freedom 250 and wrote: “A video of Trump’s family at UFC 250 is going viral as people notice who that is behind them.” The person appeared on screen only briefly while standing behind Kai Trump. Even so, many users immediately started comparing him to Charlie Kirk. One user wrote: “Everyone’s looking at Trump’s family, but the real question is… who is that standing behind them?” Another commented: “OH MY GOD THATS CHARLIE KIRK.” Others also questioned the resemblance. “It’s Charlie Kirk, isn’t it,” one user posted. “If it’s not really Charlie Kirk Why then is he the only one covering his face?” another asked.
Not everyone agreed. Several users pushed back against the speculation and argued that people were reading too much into the clip. “People need to get a hold of themselves. Everything isn’t a conspiracy,” one person wrote. Another added: “People’s eyes have officially died. In what way does this look remotely like Charlie Kirk?” As the debate grew, Wallace responded with a follow-up post. He claimed the man was not actually Kirk but a lookalike who had been placed near the Trump family. However, he did not share any proof supporting that claim.
Erika Kirk Recalls Charlie Kirk’s Wish to Attend UFC Freedom 250 Before His Death
The online discussion arrived just days after Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, shared an emotional Instagram post ahead of UFC Freedom 250. She remembered attending a UFC event with her husband in 2018 and reflected on a road trip they took to Las Vegas together. “I’ll never forget riding shotgun next to him for our first long drive together, and it was one of those moments where I remember pausing, just looking at him and thinking to myself, not only am I in love with you, but gosh do I just love laughing with you.” Erika also posted a video from Charlie Kirk’s appearance on Jesse Watters’ Fox News show, where he spoke about wanting to attend a possible UFC event at the White House. “I don’t ask for a lot of favors out of the White House. Every so often, I’ll ask for something. I’m asking for front row seats.” She later said the couple had hoped to attend the event together, making the occasion especially meaningful for her.
