Ex-Diplomat: US Alone Can't End Iran War, Israel Must Join

Ex-Diplomat Stresses Need for Israel's Involvement to Resolve Iran Conflict

In a recent statement, former diplomat Suresh Goel highlighted that for the ongoing war involving Iran to come to an end, the participation of the United States alone would not be sufficient. He asserted that Israel must also be actively involved in the talks with Iran to achieve a lasting peace.

Call for a Comprehensive Political Agreement

Goel, while speaking to ANI, emphasized the importance of a solid political agreement being drawn between the United States, Israel, and Iran. He noted that such an agreement should instill confidence in all three parties that a permanent solution can be found through the proposed conditions. "It's a good thing if the war is being halted for five days. For the war to end, US participation alone would not suffice. Israel should be present in the talks with Iran," Goel stated.

He further explained that Iran will likely focus on its security concerns, given that it is no longer under attack, while Israel seeks to increase its influence in the region. "Till the time its agenda is not fulfilled, will Israel agree to end this war?" Goel questioned, underscoring the complexities involved in the negotiations.

Iran's Stance and Military Actions

Meanwhile, Iran has maintained a firm position on the conflict. According to reports from Al Jazeera, Khatam Al Anbiya Central Headquarters spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari declared that Iran will "use every capability to ensure security as necessary." The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reportedly carried out extensive attacks in Iraq's Erbil and targeted US forces at locations such as the al-Dhafra airbase in the UAE, Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan base, and the US Navy's Fifth Fleet.

Additionally, Iran has launched missiles at Israeli cities including Ashkelon, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and the Gush Dan area. The IRGC reiterated that the "deceitful" behavior of former US President Donald Trump will not cause Iran to neglect the war front, as the enemy's psychological operations have become apparent.

Current Diplomatic Status

Despite these developments, Iran has clarified that no negotiations or discussions with the United States have taken place since the start of the war. This statement adds to the challenges in achieving a diplomatic resolution. As per Al Jazeera, the US and Israel are expected to continue their retreat in the face of ongoing hostilities.

The situation remains tense, with Goel's insights pointing to the necessity of inclusive talks involving all key players to pave the way for a sustainable end to the conflict.
