A man from Faridabad reportedly jumped into the Agra Canal late Tuesday evening after a heated argument with his family members. The incident occurred near the canal bridge in the Faridabad district, prompting an immediate response from local police and rescue teams.

According to eyewitnesses, the man, identified as 35-year-old Ramesh Kumar, was seen arguing with his wife and brother on the bridge before suddenly leaping into the water. Family members tried to stop him but failed. The police were alerted around 7:30 PM, and a search operation was launched shortly after.

Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local divers have been deployed to scour the canal. However, due to strong currents and low visibility at night, the search has been challenging. Officials have also used boats and searchlights to cover a stretch of the canal.
