Four Kids Burned by Hot Ash Dumped on Highway in Bijnor

In a tragic incident on Friday afternoon, four children sustained critical burn injuries after falling into hot industrial ash that had been carelessly dumped along the Bijnor-Moradabad state highway. The victims, aged 12 and 13, were collecting firewood near an orchard when they unknowingly stepped into the smoldering ash and slipped.

Extent of Injuries

According to doctors at the district hospital, the boys suffered over 50% burns on their limbs and other parts of their bodies. They have been referred to a medical facility in Meerut for advanced care.

Official Response

Bijnor District Magistrate Jasjit Kaur stated that a thorough investigation is underway to identify the culprit. “We are trying to determine which factory workers dumped the ash and who is responsible for this negligence. We will take strict action to ensure such life-threatening hazards are not repeated again,” she said. Sadar SDM Ritu Rani added that notices would be issued to those responsible.

Previous Incident

Local officials revealed that a similar incident occurred at the same location just four days ago, in which four persons, including two women, were seriously injured. The accident took place near Jodhuwala village in Bijnor district, and the victims are from Ladupura village. Farmers rushed the children to the hospital after hearing their screams.
