Israel confirmed on Sunday the death of a Hamas commander who played a key role in the terror group's weapons production. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Fares al-Masri was killed in an airstrike in northern Gaza on Tuesday. The IDF also confirmed the death of Muhammad Abu Shakyan, a member of Hamas' elite Nukhba Force, in a separate airstrike carried out on the same day. Both operations were part of ongoing Israeli efforts to degrade Hamas' military capabilities.

The strikes underscore the continued conflict between Israel and Hamas, with Israel targeting key figures in the group's manufacturing and elite units.
