A man, believed to be mentally ill, attempted to jump from the fourth floor of the new building of the district hospital in Pratapgarh district on Thursday. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station. The man jumped from a window on the fourth floor but fortunately became trapped on the terrace below.
Rescue Operation
A team from the police and fire department was promptly dispatched to the scene and successfully rescued him. Eyewitnesses reported to the police that the youth was behaving abnormally after landing on the terrace. Upon being alerted, the hospital administration notified the fire department and police, who then formed a joint team to carry out the rescue operation.
Hospitalization
According to sources, the man had been admitted to the hospital a day before the incident and was undergoing treatment in the medicine ward. The reasons for his behavior are under investigation, and medical professionals are providing necessary care.
