Syrian authorities have accused unknown actors of sabotaging an international undersea communications cable, describing the incident as part of a broader campaign against the country's infrastructure.
Sabotage Allegation
Syrian Telecom informed the state-owned news agency SANA that the cable was subjected to an act of sabotage. The company stated that maintenance and full restoration of services would require considerable time.
The telecom operator added that this act cannot be separated from what it termed a systematic sabotage campaign targeting Syria's infrastructure.
