Over ten days have passed since her disappearance on January 31, 2026, and the case has grown increasingly perplexing with the emergence of ransom notes demanding cryptocurrency, leaving authorities uncertain about their authenticity.
What Happened: The Story So Far
Nancy Guthrie vanished after failing to attend her regular church service, prompting immediate concern from her family due to her reliance on daily medication and a pacemaker. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI swiftly launched an investigation, treating the incident as a potential kidnapping. Early evidence pointed to foul play, including blood matching Nancy’s DNA found on her porch and a missing doorbell camera that had been forcibly removed.
