He is described as an Indian man standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. In a statement, it said, "Consulate General of India in San Francisco is deeply concerned about the disappearance of Saketh Sreenivasaiah, an Indian post-graduate student of UC Berkeley, hailing from the State of Karnataka. The Consulate is in touch with the family and also is in contact with the concerned local authorities to locate the student."
Sreenivasaiah is pursuing a Master’s degree in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department at the University of California, Berkeley. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is enrolled in the MS PDP’26 programme at UC Berkeley and completed a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras in 2025.
