A United Airlines flight from London to Newark was forced to make an unscheduled emergency landing in Chicago after a 61-year-old American woman allegedly attacked flight crew members and displayed highly erratic behaviour mid-air.

The incident occurred on United Airlines Flight UA 883, which departed from London Heathrow Airport on Tuesday. According to official reports, the woman began exhibiting bizarre and disruptive behaviour shortly after takeoff, creating a tense atmosphere aboard the aircraft.
Flight attendants attempted to calm the passenger, but the situation escalated dramatically when she became physically aggressive. The woman allegedly assaulted multiple crew members, forcing the flight captain to declare an emergency and divert the Boeing 767 to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
