Atlantis Intelligence Eyes West Bengal Data Centre, Awaits Policy Clarity
Atlantis Intelligence Eyes West Bengal Data Centre Expansion

Atlantis Intelligence is exploring a data centre project in West Bengal, hoping to replicate its success in Noida, but investment decisions hinge on policy implementation, according to Saurya Vikram Roy Chowdhury, Director and Head of Operations.

Company's Expansion Plans

Roy Chowdhury told ANI that the company has established a strong niche in Noida and is looking to replicate that in West Bengal. "It is still in the early phases right now. How that reflects in policy and actual implementation on the ground would be a key factor," he said.

The company is also exploring AI-related data centre opportunities as part of its long-term strategy. Initial facilities will primarily support existing customers' data localisation, hosting, and compliance requirements. A broader commercial data centre business may be considered in the future, but the immediate priority is building infrastructure for existing clients across global markets.

Global Operations and Revenue

Atlantis Intelligence has customers in 22 countries, with physical offices in multiple overseas markets, including the United States. Backend services and quality assurance are delivered from its Noida office, which currently has a team of over 130 people. The company plans to grow that to around 200 in the next two to three months.

Annual foreign revenue from products and services delivered from Noida exceeds USD 5.5 million to USD 6 million. Roy Chowdhury expects exports to rise further as new customers are added, translating into more foreign revenue for the company and the country.

Noida as Primary Hub

Noida will remain the company's primary operational hub. Business expansion directly drives employment growth, as expanding in India and globally increases backend requirements. "So that's a strengthening for my team in Noida," Roy Chowdhury said.

Regarding the West Bengal expansion, the company is awaiting greater clarity on government support before making concrete investment decisions. "Earlier this year in the Budget, we saw some positive news that there will be some grants for companies starting data centres in Bengal. As and when we get more clarity on that, I'll be able to give you more concrete answers to what the expansion might be," he added.
