BENGALURU: Defence Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Wednesday reported impressive financial performance for the third quarter of the financial year 2025-26, showcasing substantial growth across key metrics. The company announced a significant 23.7% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, highlighting sustained demand in both its defence and non-defence business segments.
Quarterly Financial Performance
The company's revenue from operations for the October-December 2025 quarter reached nearly Rs 7,122 crore, marking a substantial rise from Rs 5,756.1 crore recorded during the same period in the previous financial year. This robust growth demonstrates BEL's strong market position and operational efficiency.
Profitability Metrics Show Consistent Improvement
Profitability indicators also reflected positive momentum during the quarter. Profit before tax (PBT) for Q3 FY25-26 surged by 22.4% to approximately Rs 2,147.7 crore, compared to Rs 1,754.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY24-25. Meanwhile, profit after tax (PAT) witnessed a healthy 20.8% increase, climbing to around Rs 1,590 crore from approximately Rs 1,316 crore in the previous year's third quarter.
Nine-Month Cumulative Results
For the nine-month period ending December 2025, BEL's financial performance remained strong on a cumulative basis:
- Revenue from operations exceeded Rs 17,302.4 crore, up from Rs 14,538.3 crore during the same period last year
- Cumulative PBT reached Rs 5,171.2 crore, compared to nearly Rs 4,242.4 crore in the previous year
- Cumulative PAT rose to Rs 3,845.3 crore from approximately Rs 3,183.5 crore a year earlier
Strong Order Book Provides Future Visibility
BEL revealed that its order book remained robust, standing at an impressive Rs 73,015 crore as of January 1, 2026. This substantial order pipeline ensures clear revenue visibility for the coming quarters and underscores the company's strong market position in India's defence manufacturing ecosystem.
