DGTS-CII Seminar on AEO & MOOWR in Ahmedabad

The Directorate General of Taxpayer Services (DGTS), in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gujarat, conducted a seminar on 'Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) & Manufacture and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations (MOOWR)' in Ahmedabad on Friday. Key participants included Sumit Kumar, Principal ADG of DGTS Ahmedabad zonal unit; Manish Kulhary, Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad; and Samir Shah, Convenor of CII Gujarat Logistics Panel, among others. An organizer stated, "The seminar aimed to enhance awareness among industry stakeholders regarding key trade facilitation initiatives of the Government of India and promote greater participation in programmes that improve ease of doing business, operational efficiency, and global competitiveness."

AMA to Organise Conclave on Future of Medicine

The Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), along with the Eastern Medical Forum (EMF), will organise 'Practice 2030' on June 21 in Ahmedabad. AMA officials noted that the event will involve doctors, hospital administrators, healthcare entrepreneurs, and quality experts. They will elaborate on changing patient expectations, technological advancements, regulatory frameworks, and a focus on quality standards.

The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) conducted a webinar on the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, with approximately 700 entities participating, as per an official statement on Friday. The statement indicated that participants from urban local bodies, rural local bodies, and other institutions received information about important updates in the solid waste management rules.

51.3 Lakh Farmers to Receive PM-Kisan Instalment

An official statement on Friday announced that 51.3 lakh farmers from Gujarat will receive the 23rd instalment under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on Saturday. Farmers in the state will collectively receive Rs 1,025 crore, deposited directly into their bank accounts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the nationwide programme to disburse the instalment to farmers, the statement added.
