Chandigarh University (CU) has achieved a significant milestone in the QS World University Rankings 2027, securing the 526th position globally. This marks the fifth consecutive year of improvement, with an impressive surge of 274 ranks from the 800th position in 2023 to 526th in 2027.

CU's global rank in International Research Network improved by 240 ranks, from 603rd in 2026 to 363rd in 2027, placing it among the top 1% of universities worldwide. It also ranked among India's top 5 universities in this parameter.

Chandigarh University's top rank in International Research Network reflects its robust research ecosystem. Students and faculty have authored over 24,000 research publications and filed more than 6,000 patents, with 5,800 published and 260 granted. In 2024-25 alone, 743 patents were filed, 770 published, and 49 granted. CU has over 560 international research network scholars, and 44 faculty members were featured among the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University–Elsevier.
