Sabs Exports International Announces Major Investment in Yamuna Expressway

In a significant boost to the industrial landscape of Uttar Pradesh, garment manufacturer Sabs Exports International has committed to investing over Rs 60 crore to establish a new manufacturing unit within the notified area of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The company, which is a government-recognised export unit, received a formal Letter of Intent from YEIDA on Tuesday, marking the crucial initial phase of the land allotment process for this ambitious project.

Specialisation in Premium Smart-Casual Knitted Garments

Sabs Exports International has carved a niche for itself in the competitive apparel industry through its design-based manufacturing of premium smart-casual knitted garments. The company's primary focus remains on menswear, complemented by select categories of womenswear. This strategic specialisation has enabled it to build a robust clientele that includes mid- and high-segment multinational buyers, as well as leading domestic brands.

The proposed manufacturing facility is projected to create direct employment opportunities for approximately 400 to 500 individuals in the region, providing a substantial economic uplift. Currently, Sabs Exports operates manufacturing facilities in both Noida and Greater Noida, with its products reaching international markets across Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Aligning with Make in India and Boosting Industrial Growth

According to officials from YEIDA, this substantial investment is expected to significantly enhance industrial growth along the Yamuna Expressway corridor. It will also strengthen the region's apparel manufacturing ecosystem, positioning it as a key hub for garment production. The authority has been actively issuing Letters of Intent to multiple companies across various sectors as part of a broader strategy to attract fresh investments and promote planned industrial development in the area.

Company representatives have emphasised that the upcoming unit will be developed with state-of-the-art manufacturing infrastructure. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the Central Government's flagship "Make in India" campaign, which aims to transform India into a global manufacturing powerhouse. The development underscores a commitment to modernising production capabilities while fostering domestic industrial expansion.

Project Timeline and Operational Details

Further specifics regarding the project timeline and the commencement of operations will be finalised upon the completion of land allotment formalities. Officials have indicated that these details will be clarified as the process advances, ensuring a structured and efficient rollout of the new facility.

This investment by Sabs Exports International not only highlights the company's growth trajectory but also reflects the increasing attractiveness of the Yamuna Expressway region for industrial ventures. It signals a positive trend in the area's economic development, with potential ripple effects on local employment and ancillary industries.
