SmartHomes Launches Green CSR Initiative for Dholera
SmartHomes Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. has announced a major environmental commitment under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The initiative, named 'Green SmartHomes. Green Dholera.,' aims to facilitate the plantation of over 5 lakh trees across Dholera and its surrounding areas. This effort is designed to support the sustainable growth of Dholera Smart City, one of India's most ambitious urban development projects.
A Long-Term Mission for a Greener Ecosystem
As Dholera transitions from vision to implementation, the company recognizes the need to balance economic growth with environmental stewardship. The initiative will focus on afforestation, biodiversity enhancement, and carbon sequestration. SmartHomes has already planted more than 3,000 trees at its flagship township, Dholera Forest Estate, as part of a larger vision to develop a green ecosystem of approximately 40,000 trees within the project. Additionally, the company plans to plant about 1 lakh trees at Dholera Resort Estate. Beyond its own developments, SmartHomes will collaborate with educational institutions, local communities, and environmental organizations to promote awareness and participation.
