The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially declared the results for the Class 12 examinations of 2026. The Science stream recorded its highest pass percentage since 2016, while the General stream achieved a pass rate of 92.71%, which was 0.36% lower compared to the previous year.
Science Stream Performance
The Science stream achieved a pass percentage of 84.33% for regular students, excluding repeaters. This marks the best performance since 2015, when the pass rate was 83.51% in 2025. Out of 1,11,090 registered students, 1,93,678 appeared for the exams. Among them, 93,678 regular candidates cleared the examination.
District and Centre Highlights
Morbi district led the Science stream with an outstanding 94.85% pass rate, while Dahod recorded the lowest at 57.44%. Among examination centres, Kumbhariya posted the highest result at 98.62%, whereas Limbdi in Dahod recorded the lowest at 42.98%.
General Stream Performance
For the General stream, 4,35,102 regular students took the exams, and 4,03,362 successfully cleared them. Four centres—Tadva, Kotda, Kangvai, and Prasnavada—achieved perfect 100% results. In contrast, the Karath centre recorded the lowest result at 64.886%.
Examination Schedule and Results Announcement
The board conducted the Class 10 and 12 examinations between February and March. The result announcement was deliberately delayed to avoid overlapping with the NEET exam, which was held on Sunday. The state education minister announced the results for both streams on Monday.
