NEET Re-exam in MP: 1.18 Lakh Candidates, 283 Centres, Cyber Commandos Deployed
NEET Re-exam in MP: 1.18L Candidates, 283 Centres

The re-examination of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled for Sunday, June 23, across Madhya Pradesh. Approximately 1.18 lakh candidates from the state will sit the test at 283 centres, including 32 in Bhopal and 57 in Indore. Reporting time is 11 am, and no candidate will be allowed entry after 1:30 pm. The exam begins at 2 pm.

Enhanced Security Measures

The state has deployed 38 cyber commandos to monitor social media platforms for 48 hours before the exam. Telegram has been blocked nationwide, and thousands of other social network groups are being scanned. Cyber police will monitor servers and internet access at every examination centre to prevent leaks and malpractices.

The re-examination follows the cancellation of the May 3 NEET test due to irregularities. Local administration data shows a drop in candidate numbers in Bhopal and Indore, partly because students were allowed to change centres. Bhopal's turnout fell from 14,334 on May 3 to 13,774 for the June 23 exam.

Strict Protocols at Medical Colleges

All medical colleges have cancelled holidays for students on June 20–21 following instructions from the National Medical Commission, to prevent impersonation and collusion. Deans have ordered department heads to ensure full attendance. Thirty-two magistrates are on duty, each carrying a copy of the exam paper. CRPF jawans will be deployed for security.

All papers will be dispatched together, and there will be no vehicle stops along the dispatch route to ensure secure delivery. Candidates will be given an extra 15 minutes of examination time.
