The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the final National Testing Agency (NTA) scores for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Paper 2A for Bachelor of Architecture and Paper 2B for Bachelor of Planning. The announcement marks a significant milestone for thousands of aspiring architects and planners across the country. Four candidates have achieved a perfect 100 percentile across the two papers, showcasing exceptional academic performance.
Four Candidates Secure Perfect NTA Scores
In Paper 2A for Bachelor of Architecture, Meera Krishna R S and Suryathejus S, both from Kerala, secured NTA scores of 100.0000000. In Paper 2B for Bachelor of Planning, Gowri Sankar V from Kerala and Sarthak Agarwal from Uttar Pradesh also achieved perfect scores. These candidates have set a benchmark for excellence in the examination.
Examination Conduct and Participation
The examination was conducted in two sessions, January and April 2026. Session 2 for Paper 2A and Paper 2B was held on April 7 in a single shift across 584 examination centres located in 319 cities, including 15 cities outside India. According to the National Testing Agency, 94,513 candidates registered for Bachelor of Architecture, of whom 67,139 appeared. For Bachelor of Planning, 45,729 candidates registered and 30,050 appeared for the examination. The participation numbers reflect the growing interest in these professional courses.

The top 10 candidates in Paper 2A for Bachelor of Architecture included candidates from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana. Meera Krishna R S topped the paper alongside Suryathejus S, while Sushilnarayan S from Tamil Nadu secured the third position with an NTA score of 99.9977999. The diversity of states among top performers highlights the national reach of the examination.
Top Performers in BPlan Paper
In Paper 2B for Bachelor of Planning, Gowri Sankar V and Sarthak Agarwal shared the top position with perfect scores. Arnav Shukla from Rajasthan secured 99.9952532, followed by Yuvraj Singh Sandhu from Jharkhand with 99.9936119. The competition was intense, with candidates from various states demonstrating strong aptitude.
Female Toppers Across Paper 2 Exams
The female topper list in Bachelor of Architecture was led by Meera Krishna R S from Kerala. Anshitha Suresh Mallyot from Karnataka and Nivandathi Venkatesh from Tamil Nadu followed next in the rankings. In Bachelor of Planning, Meera Krishna R S also emerged as the top female candidate with an NTA score of 99.9808356. Kerala candidates occupied four of the top five positions in the female topper list for the paper, underlining the state's strong performance.
Exam Pattern and Score Calculation
The National Testing Agency said the examination was conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Urdu. Paper 2A included a Mathematics and Aptitude Test in Computer Based Test mode along with a Drawing Test in offline mode, while Paper 2B was conducted fully in Computer Based Test mode. The agency clarified that NTA scores are normalised scores and not the same as percentage marks. Final ranks were prepared by considering the best score obtained by candidates across the two sessions. This methodology ensures fairness and consistency in the evaluation process.
