Over 15.71 Lakh FYJC Seats Vacant in Maharashtra

Pune: As many as 15,71,662 seats remain vacant across Maharashtra after the completion of the second regular admission round for FYJC this year. The schedule for the third regular round of the centralized online admission process has been announced, and the third merit list will be released on June 23. Students can fill applications and submit their college preferences up to June 20. College allotments will be announced on June 21.

Details of the Admission Process

Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Mahesh Palkar said the online admission process is being conducted for 22 lakh seats in 9,649 junior colleges across the state. A total of 13.7 lakh students have registered for the admission process so far from Maharashtra.

First Two Rounds Summary

Through the first two regular rounds, 6.3 lakh students have confirmed their admissions. Of these, 5.3 lakh secured their seats through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), while more than one lakh students were admitted under various reserved quotas.

Third Round Schedule

Students allotted seats in the third round will be required to complete the admission process in their respective colleges between June 23 and June 25. Education department officials also stated that the schedule for the fourth admission round will be announced on June 24.
