Shimla has witnessed twin success stories this year as identical sisters Avisha Syal and Sirisha Syal from Auckland House School for Girls topped the ICSE Class 10 examination. Avisha secured an impressive 99.4 percent, while Sirisha followed closely with 99.2 percent.
Sisters Share Their Joy
Speaking to PTI, the sisters expressed their happiness soon after the results were announced. They said, "We're really happy right now. All the credit goes to our parents, teachers and our school who guided us well. Staying curious and consistent and taking out time for outdoor games along with synergism worked for us."
Preparation Strategy: Steady and Consistent
The twins revealed that their preparation was steady rather than rigid. They did not follow a strict timetable but made sure to complete homework daily and revise lessons regularly. They advised other students preparing for board exams to stay sincere and keep working consistently.
Balancing Academics and Extracurriculars
Along with academics, both sisters were active in extracurricular activities. They were part of their school's basketball and table tennis teams and also played the guitar. Despite their packed routine, they managed studies and activities together and plan to continue their higher studies in Shimla.
Family Background and Future Aspirations
Avisha and Sirisha are the daughters of Kartik Syal and Geetika Syal, both doctors. They now aim to become engineers, with a focus on physics and software engineering. Their inspiring journey underscores the importance of discipline, curiosity, and support from family and teachers.
