South Goa NEET UG Re-exam Prep Reviewed

Margao: South Goa district collector Egna Cleetus chaired a review meeting on Wednesday to assess preparedness for the upcoming June 21 NEET (UG) re-examination across South Goa.

Appointments and Coordination

Sector magistrates have been appointed to assist sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) during the exam. Members of the District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) will serve as observers and will be issued identity cards for the purpose.

Medical and Power Arrangements

The collector directed that emergency medical services be available at all exam centres from 9am to 6.30pm, and that uninterrupted power supply be maintained throughout. Special arrangements for persons with disabilities, including wheelchair access and ground-floor or accessible room allocation, were also stressed.

Sensitisation Meetings

Sub-divisional magistrates, sub-divisional police officers, and mamlatdars have been directed to hold first-level sensitisation and coordination meetings one day before the examination.

Infrastructure and Security

On the infrastructure side, biometric verification systems and CCTV cameras are to be installed at all centres. Secure escort arrangements for question paper trunks were discussed, and traffic management plans are to be put in place to ensure the smooth movement of candidates and examination staff. Separate frisking arrangements for male and female candidates will be ensured.
